Jack and Faldo both made interesting comments today ..... they reckon Tiger just needs to play, stop with the endless biomechanical bullshit, and the quest to be the longest hitter on Tour, and just play !!

    Sounds like a plan.

Working with Biomechanics is fine. Look at Justin Rose and Hunter Mahan under Foley. Biggest difference between. Those 2 and tiger is it seems tiger dips dramatically and has a violent transition. Those 2 stay more level and swing within themselves.

I for one really hope tiger finds it again!!!

Butch says that Tiger needs to stop playing swing and go back to playing golf. Get on the range and just hit balls.

I think it's been mentioned one or a thousand times in the last few years.

Why on earth would he want to mess with a swing that use to mean, if he teed it up there was better than good chance the tournament was his?

I think it's all a bit too late personally. A combination of things probably have him at the point where it just ain't gonna happen again, particularly in the majors. He reminds me of a post Holyfield Mike Tyson. I don't often bet but the Lewis fight was such easy money.

To be fair tho swing changes take time to gel and it might be another 6 months before we know beyond doubt if it's groovin' or not. Word is he kills it on the range and in practise rounds but is having trouble taking it to the course. Hopefully for his fans it's not an IBF scenario.

I loved that story right up to the part where they said she was with her kids. Then I remembered something....

Good to imagine her there with her mates only...

I think Tiga will do "ok" this week.
    It's wide, expansive, no trees.
Bunkers are the real danger but shit me he can hit a long iron out of bunkers well.....
I'm not a fan of his at all but would like to see him make the cut.

I think Jason Day said it right in his presser after playing with Tiger.

"His irons, short game and putting are phenomenal... His ball striking is on point."

If he can place his 3 wood in the right spots there's no reason he can't make the cut and even contend.

Although...This is the first time in a major that I've ever been nervous about what we're going to get from him. I think he got the good side of the draw though which is a start.

Not really, but it has been noted frequently that the course dries out "significantly" between morning and afternoon rounds. It's also been mentioned that playing the morning of day two rather than afternoon should give a slight advantage in terms of the firmness of the course.

Minuscule really, but I think he'll need all the help he can get.

Mickelson passing him as the highest earner on Tour has to hurt. He will be out to beat Phil this week. Should be fun to watch.

Not sure that's true. The GD list out recently has Tiger at $55m and Phil at $50m, Rory at 3rd with $49m. Certainly a lot closer than pre scandal though.

It was mentioned on TV last week, Bushy that Phil now earns more than Tiger.

Ok. Well I don't think Tigers been cashing many cheques on the course recently so you're probably right.
How long until Phil gets to $1b??

Just got this from Golf Channel's Twitter. Time to take it to the course.

I'm sure he's drying his eyes with 100 dollar bills as we speak.
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

You'd think so but some like IBF never make it back.

Of course it's totally individual. The good news for fans is he's out there teeing it up and getting thru tournies injury free.
