Tried the xflex graphites I shafted up as an experiment. 1st swing, 9 iron from the left rough, over my fairway, over some trees, over the next fairway, into the far rough.

3 holes later I played through the guy who was on the hole where my Sherman finished.

He asked if I lost a ball on his hole. Not a chance, mate.

Would have been gold if you proceeded to repeat that shot right in front I him!

Some of the best shanks I have ever seen are from Iain. They really whistle right.

There was no way I was hitting a graphite shafted iron near anyone after that.

We were standing on the 4th tee. Iain Shermans one from the 5th fairway to just in front of us. Classic stuff.

I have never seen a worse case of the shermans than a mate that I played with today. He hit about 7 or 8 in the last 5 holes, it was awesome. For us watching.

14th hole - 180m par 3 with bunker left and dam right. He hits his tee shot long and left. Chip shot - awesome shank, flies over the green and halfway back to the tee (past the cut fairway and onto the shit stuff). Next shot - another awesome shank 45 degrees right, almost in the dam. Blades a chip over the green from there, putts it on and 3 putts for an 8.

He then shanked his approaches into 15 and 16 and almost cried with relief when he hit a chip out of the middle on 17.

He's a great bloke and we all laughed about it so I'm sure he wouldn't mind sharing it here since he's not an Ozgolfer.

One for me today. Trying to play a high flop shot over a bunker, straight out of the middle of the hosel. Ended up with a good angle into the green for my next chip, which was probably a better result than what I would have had if I middled it.

This was one of my prouder efforts, was a long time ago, but as I hit a 9iron for my second shot fairly close, I can accurately predict where I hit from
Darwin GC 5th Hole, its about 140m.

and when I took a drop from casual water for my 2nd shot someone reported me to the captain because I didn't appear to tell anyone what i was doing

    Calling Solarman....

He had a train wreck on the 6th hole at Mareeba this morning.
He hits his drive to the right rough, hits the next next to the green, then realises he'd hit the ball belonging to the other member of our group. He drags his bottom lip all the way back down the fairway to his own ball, then proceeds to shank it into the right tree line. Not once, but twice in a row!
