Not sure on all the days, but they would be up for double time and half today, and probably Monday I would have thought.

Slightly related bemusement; out at the end of Cleveland Point is one of the most iconic Restaurants on Moreton Bay, The Lighthouse. As well as an indoor Restaurant and Cafe, they also have an outdoor, through the wall, Cafe for those visiting the park next door.

Cleveland Point is also a popular turnaround spot for 100s of cyclists on their regular group rides. A mate was out there a few months ago and wanted to get a coffee from the Take Away. When he got there all the seating was taken by a Cyclist group, and he thought it would take forever to get a coffee. He in fact got served right away, because not one of the cyclists had ordered anything other than the free water. They had all brought their own other drinks and eats!

I have since heard similar stories independently from a number of others, so I gather it is a somewhat regular occurrence.

Well that just sux ass! No way in hell I would take up someones seat if all I wanted was their water! No way in hell I would take their water either. They carry plenty of it! Our regular shop down here on Saturday mornings puts out several extra large folding tables for the cycling groups that come through, and I can say they do well out of it. My mate and I are only there once every fortnight on average but several of the staff know our order when we get there. Maybe there is a reason I don't cycle in the bigger cycling groups. Only done it once, and wouldn't ride with that very well known one again! One of the leaders of the group made a serious dick of himself at a car that he thought was a problem for the group (which it wasn't). Funny enough, he's one of the owners of the cafe we were at this morning, and never again.

Couldn't you just walk faster, on a normal treadmill, on a bit more incline?

Missus Windows computer shat itself with a BSOD "unmountable boot volume" and I cracked it because I had about 3 Mac's at work die in one day and I have had a gutfull of fixing stupid machines.

I figured the disk is stuffed, so she used the kids for a couple of weeks, tonight got sick of her whinging so had a quick look and took 15 mins. Startup to recovery mode, type chkdsk then fixboot.
Jobs done, for petes sake, if it was that easy why cant it fix that itself! Now how would muppets have handled dealing with that without spending money on call outs.

I am in the wrong business.

People who wait for all of their groceries/shopping items to be scanned through and then act surprised and frantically look for their money when it comes time to pay.

We are going through the same arguements for and against on our committee. For some reason, this seems to be a challenge for most members. Here are some of the suggestions.

    - As above. Not a fan really. Looks poor, what happens if your ball is resting on the holder??
    - No rakes at all. Preferred lie in the bunker. I am DEAD against this one.
    - Different rake positions and settled on Rake pointing to Fairway or Green in the centre of the bunker.
    - Having the rake handle on the grass outside the bunker and the head in.

Personally I preferred the simpe method of Put the damn rake back in the bunker. I don't care how, lets just start with in. IF your ball is resting on the rake, mark the ball, move the rake, if the ball moves place it back at the mark.....

But apparently that was just too simple.....

    Discussions continue

Interesting to see this story about the human bone being found in the GC Seaway.
The have a picture up with the bone in question next to a fish. I guess its pretty useful for "scale".

Several of the good coffee shops in town are closed for the dwhole easter long weekend. Kind of surprises me that one of the ones shut this weekend is across the road from Easter Fest, which is one of, if not the biggest religious music festival in australia with thousands camping on site in the middle of town. Sure they'd get stung with penalty rates, but surely a heap of that crowd would have filtered through to them.
Harder challenge to find a coffee shop without dogs and/or loud talking lycra wearing push bloke riders.
