I think the general feeling around the 50’s was that they were red hot. Not sure if it was briefed preseason but it’ll be interesting if they remain consistent.

AFL have come out and said that the umpires were wrong in 2 of those and 1 was very marginal. Other games this weekend will be umpired differently!

Yes I support the Tigers but the two that were wrong were: Q1 18.31 against Bolton, Q3 1.15 against Caddy, and the marginal was Q3 7.07 against McIntosh. This is in the AFL statement to All Senior Coaches and GM's of Football Operations. Their words, not mine!

Who knows why the AFL say what they say.

Is Bolton not within an area 5m behind and 10m to the side?

Funny stuff, Bushy. Umpiring and consistent don't go together.

I was at the ground. It was funny how quickly the tiger ferals switched back to bagging players after Carlton kicked the first 5. Umpiring foibles probably evened out and it was a good game. Carlton will win more than last year if they play like that - Cripps is huge. Curnow won't kick 5 every week, but man he can run for a big bloke.

Didn't expect Essendon to knock off the crows tonight - maybe I'm going to have to start rating the bombers?
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

Happy to hear that. Best result for me would be for Essendon to start believing the hype before crashing half way through the season and missing the 8. Surely they're not top 8 material?

Lynch is pretty under-rated IMO. Gives them a marking option to get it from half back to the 50 all day long. Having him and Tex both out would have been a big hole for them, especially once they tried to fill it with Josh Jenkins.

Not surprising. It's just Melbourne torturing their supporters, as usual.

I'm not a Dees supporter, but I had a 7-leg multi riding on that kick. In the end it doesn't matter as I had the Eagles as well.

The first of many winnable games lost by Melbourne this season I'm guessing.

    Wonderful to see.
