In that case I think he’s clearly finished and will never play decent golf again.

He should retire and consult Dr Kevorkian.

Matt Jones is in the first group off. Playing partners will be struggling to keep up!

Featured Groups starts just after midnight (I think. The coverage on the special channel says 10.03 ET, obviously US east coast time).

Fine and sunny, not much wind. Should be great.

I'm loving the Fox sports logo over the top of the players' scores on each shot. Creates some mystery.

edit: that was only the pre-round featured groups. They've moved the logo for the main broadcast.

Patrick Reed is always worth a bet, just to irritate the haters.
    Great call on Rose

They need to increase the resolution of all TV cameras on the course, so they can catch all cheating like this.....

I get the feeling they are being super strict because of the Reed effect, almost like its sending a clear msg to the players

I sent them a strongly worded email at about 3am.

Exactly the same situation as Anna Nordqvist a few years ago.

One of the silliest rules in golf, and as AP hinted at, its a breach that only gets picked up if a camera is in the right place and at the right angle at the time. Having said that, it isn't too hard to play a bunker shot within the rules.

I don't agree with The Collective regarding the greens. I think they are a bit too firm, particularly on the two long 3's on the front. But, as a TV watcher not a player, it was so interesting to watch the chipping, and how difficult it was to hit the correct shot. Not many automatic flop shots and balls stopping dead from 20 yards.

About time we had a firm and fast Masters. We’ve been waiting for it for over a decade and for once the weather is going to cooperate.

For those that don’t understand or can’t grasp the concept firm and fast will always, ALWAYS, identify the player with the most control over their ball.

Today was a clear demonstration of that.

    Can’t wait for tomorrow morning.

To the players- Suck it up or don’t accept the invitation.
