Eagle and Birdies bags
Anyone had much to do with these? I’m in the market for a good light weigh cart bag that I can use for motor buggie and also pull cart. Found this one on golf clearance outlet but I’m in Brisbane and just saw the Gabba store is no longer. Happy for other options but no a fan of the external putter tubes that hang on the side. I find my putter always snags on the cart strap if my bag is on the right hand side of the cart.
Other bag I saw was this titlelist one

Hardly any cart/buggy golf bag would be considered heavy by todays standards, at best you might find something half a kilo lighter and whats that when one club is around .4kg, so you might be better off looking on another important feature.
I just bought a Ping Pioneer, the Mygolfspy bag of the year. What i like is 2 magnetic pockets and a cooler section that takes 4 600ml water bottles. What i hate is 14 way dividers and too many flat side pockets (5), only 2 pockets for bulky things, i guess thats becuase of the cooler pocket.
Eagles and Birdies do make decent gear though.

Eagles and Birdies used to make good gear. I don't know if it still really exists as a company; it seems like some other mob might just be using the name.

good point, from memory Underpar.com.au is the owner of this Australian brand and the website not responding.

The Big Fridge model was popular for all the dudes who sneak beers onto the course.

Agree with you MTB find I don’t use the big side pockets and they tend to make them fat. Webster I thought that Daytona bag looked pretty trendy?

The Eagles & Birdies bags I've seen in the flesh seem well made. I've got a ping pioneer too - it's great, with 2 drawbacks compared to my old srixon - I miss the external putter tube, and don't love the handles being on the side rather than the front at the top.

I had a look at the ping pioneer of the ping site. Reading the reviews bit worried about stability? Few people have said it falls over all the time? What’s thoughts so far MTB?

Mine has looked like falling over in uneven/sloped carparks, but I think any bag would in those circumstances.

The company has folded a while ago I believe, golf clearance outlet purchased all their bags. I have had a magnetic pro for 5 years and its still going strong apart from fading a little. The cooler bag is good for three 600 ml water bottles just, besides that they are solid bags. They are plain though not much colour. The water proof cover at the bottom is quick and easy.

So I still haven’t got around to getting a new bag yet but am having another look.
Any reviews on the sun mountain Mavrick or the callaway org 14? Both look to be getting good name online but always hard to judge reviews. Steering a bit away from the ping as my farther in-law got one and didn’t want to be matching

Can't go wrong with a Sun Mountain. Haven't used a different bag for ages. I think SM make the latest Scotty bags too.

House of Golf (Bundall) stock them, I believe. Golfbox also sell them.
Australian Golf Supplies are the Importers/Distributors;
