We will need to find a few people who will take their own room (preferably . Please let me know your preferred option, preferred roomy if you want to share, or if you are happy to be randomly paired.

Great work benno, outstanding organising and great choices of courses.
At least I came home with a trophy even though it was on a technicality.
Miserable weather with even worse golf.😭
Congrats to BITS for an outstanding game in the rain.

    Thank you time.

Foremost to Benno_R. He may be getting an inflated sense of his standing within the Ozgolf community due to the praise he is receiving for his organisation of this event. The praise is well-deserved. His standing will be back to normal as soon as he offloads one of his customised putters to a fellow member for whom the putter was not customised. BITS should also be acknowledged for assisting Benno. Not only was he the well-deserved Champion Golfer, he was the champion pizza organiser and emergency host. The Pizzas were pretty good, too.

My thanks to all my playing partners for their good humour and in some cases good play. Particular thanks to Daves for arranging KC and The Sunshine Band songs to appear during his ipod random shuffle at Mount Coolum. The rain stayed away after that tune played. Thanks to all for putting up with my sooking during the downpours.

Special thanks to my roommates Sundayhack and Lucasto for being good company during our three days and two nights together.

I hope to see many of you at a Champs later this year, or somewhere in Queensland next year. Hopefully somewhere it isn't raining.

Did Bits collect his winnings for the Twin Waters comp we all put in for? - I had a look and couldn't find any results on their website...Probs should be a BRD as well.

I sent them an email asking for the results as they weren't on the website - should be a fair result too for BITs as there were no NTP's provided by the club - the email address if anyone wants to send them a request for info. is -

Best club throw I saw over champs weekend goes to Jazzdog at Mt Coolum.

One of the later holes he launched a rocket into the trees down the right hand side broke off a limb about 2 1/2 thick

Turned around slowly and showed good weight transfer and tempo as he went for the helicopter throw!

    Technique 10/10

    Whirring noise 10/10

    Distance 9/10 about 50m

All in all very solid throw

Finally home and mostly dried out now. Would have to be close to the wettest Ozgolf weekend ever, and that is saying something! Thanks again to Benno and his offsiders for organising the whole thing. Organisation wise it ran like clockwork, and was all quality. The Resort was a great location to be be based, and the course selection was great.

I was lucky enough to play with BITS for the 2 champs rounds and got to see some quality golf. I think we must have been all square through the front nine at Twin Waters, and he just put the foot down from there and pulled away comfortably on the home stretch. I tried to chase, but just couldn't get out of 2nd gear. Congratulations again Champ, very well deserved win.

Thanks to all for making the weekend so enjoyable. It is always good to catch up with a few old faces and meet some new ones.

Ok back on a PC finally after a very long weekend.

First of all many thanks to benno_r. The man is a freaking legend and goes way above and beyond to bring you the Qld champs. All the threads were updated with every bit of information you would ever need. I particularly enjoyed the Thursday, Saturday and Sunday courses, not so much Mt Coolum on the Friday.

I had a few games with some guys and gals I had never played with before. Special thanks to my playing partners on the following days:

Coral Cove - benno, jazzdog, jabber
Mt Coolum - peter_rs, higballing, jazzdog
Noosa Springs - sundayhack, jimandr, daves
Twin Waters - daves, eags, shazza_rs

Thanks to everyone for your kind words on my win. This was only my 3rd champs, after 13 Qld and 15 Vic, so third time lucky for me.

Special thanks have to go to benno for giving my irons a loft lie adjustment on Friday morning. I was lasering them on Sunday when the sun came out. Also thanks to Jazzdog for putting up with my snoring, helping with the driving. and getting me a leave pass.
