I agree with many that he has surrounded himself with many of the wrong people...and he has sacked many of them. I heard it said the other day that the one he DIDN'T sack is the first one he SHOULD have sacked. But instead he got rid of all the rest...

For Tiger to get back on track & be competitive on the course again, he has to want the life change for himself, and I'm not so sure he is ACTUALLY ready to do that. Until he does it then I think he will struggle. If & when he gives up all the pornstars etc and gets properly focused then maybe...and he should, cap in hand, go back and have a chat with Butch. He won't though, due to the two giant egos involved, but if he made the move toward it I think Butch would respond.

Why should he give up the porn stars and self obsession? He was winning everything when that was the go. I don't care if he is the biggest arsehole the world has ever seen. I just want to see him go back to being superhuman.
    Forum needs more banter.

From the reports and the documentary indicates Woods did his womanising very discretely and on his own, and all in a systematic and deliberate ways. I don't think he was influenced by anybody, and I dont even think those good mates of his even knew.

As it seems that Jordan and Barkleys sordid reputations and habits are well known its pretty clear that they were not as clever as Woods at hiding it.

Agree ....Didnt affect either of them because it was like common practice for nba players.

Its not what he did thats affected woods. Its what he's lost.Losing the mum to his kids would wreck many peoples confidence.

I do maintain though...Adults often follow others lead. His greatest role model was his dad.

He's lost his wife and dad within 3 years. No wonder the guy has low confidence.

You cant play elite level sport with low self confidence ..Especially golf

Stupid is as stupid does. You reap what you sow. It's Tiger's time. Will it ever end? Time will tell but it's not looking good.

I'm not sure he can perform near his old levels without the crown adulation and support as well as the general publics. He will never get this back to 100% of what it was. He's been outed as a fraud for a helluva lot of what he stood for and he knows it. Add to this the loss of family and he's really up against it. Call me nasty but i reckon the loss of adulation has hurt him more than the loss of his wife - heproved exactly how much respect he had for her.

    spot on....

people thrive on the adulation...AFL..wayne carey had it...cheated on his wife will Kelli stevens (team mates wife)

life then went into tail spin...did drugs near the end of his career...3 day benders....finally sorted himself out now

there are numerous examples of people lives going into tail spin....I just thik its bloody hard to play golf at that level as it is...but when you have everyone looking at you (and not really approving of you) you just go south.

They said that it's another 3 months until he plays again. It'll be interesting what changes occur in that time. Will he actually have a real caddy? Who the hell would be the one to actually put their hand up for the job?

Golf is not the same without him competing. I still enjoy watching it but I used to love the Tiger vs The Field battles. Oh well.

an aussie caddie would be good..most aussies pretty laconic attitude (bar R Allenby )

certainly needs someone right now who isnt intense..someone to free him a bit.

Golf looks like a real grind for him at the minute.

There is no way he would have shot 10 over with williams on the bag...he might not have made the cut but 10 over!! He neeeds to find a caddie who is a strong personality like williams was.

Tiger needs to go back to banging plenty of cocktail waitresses.

He obviously plays better when he does this
