How it works
1. Prize money is based on the size of the round and a standard 18 hole round. You win $1000 for handing in a score, plus $1000 for every player you beat. Only Bona Fide Ozgolf.net registered members are eligible and counted for the prize pool. The event winner gets a 50% bonus. Nett scores only. $1000 for an NCR, if there is a valid reason, otherwise $0. AGU count used for ties of 1st.
eg. 4 in the field.
1st $6000 (4000+2000)
2nd $3000
3rd $2000
4th $1000
1a. Prize money for a mulitround event is awarded as method 1. for the total result and each round result gets 1/(number rounds) of the money set out in method 1.
eg for a 36 hole event, round 1 & round 2 get 1/2 the normal money and the total pass as normal.
2. An Ozgolf day is defined as an event that is posted to the 1st Tee forum with an open invitation for everybody to join in, and where typically one person handles all the bookings
3. Scores are taken from 1st tee forum at Ozgolf.net only. One person at each golf day needs to record the nett scores and the exact Ozgolf usernames. List scores in order. Scores must be clearly posted in first post.
4. No limit to number of games or course played. Minimum field for an Ozgolf day is 2 Ozgolf.net website members.
5. To be eligible for the Player of the Year award the Ozgolfer must have purchased an Ozgolf Shirt or made a donation to the Ozgolf website/community.
6. The year concludes with the Annual Ozgolf Championships or the 31st December whichever occurs first.
7. In the event of a Tie, a countback will apply, by counting the number of 1st places, If still a tie, 2nd places, and so on. If tie cannot be seperated a joint award will be made.
