Had massive troubles sliding new grips on last night.
I think it's because I used cheap tape strips from ebay and methylated spirits which I've read evaporates quick.
Any advice?
*Don't have access to air compressor to blow on grips
Deos white spirits work better with those double sided tape?
Norton double-sided tape and turps from Bunnings works fine for me.
I only use a single wrap of DST at the top of the shaft, and let the residue smear over the length of the masking tape, as the grip slides on. Anything more is a waste for Golf Pride and Lamkin grips. (Superstroke needs a bit more DST and preferably a cordless air pump.)
Gripmaster are the devil's grips and avoid them for DIY work.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.
I don’t use any glue with my gripmasters....
Grip masters are fine with painters tape, hairspray and air. It’s double sided tape that’s the devil. Can’t believe I only recently caught onto using a heat gun to help get rid of the old double sided tape. God knows how many hours I’ve wasted over the years without it.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!
Are shaft tips universal for all heads in that brand, for example will the .370 hybrid tip also fit in a FW or Driver head?
Specifically curious about Ping G410 heads

Hey guys,
I just came from my first lesson in a long time and he noticed my irons that I picked up off FB were really flat for me.
So I am keen to get this fixed, anyone recommend someone in Eastern Suburbs of Melb that could adjust the lies of some Mizzies 825 pro irons by Friday lunchtime?
Funz I can help, but I'm not too local. I'm in Beaumaris.
Hardboiled is in Reservoir and could help

Thanks I am going to drop them off there on Sunday they couldn’t do them before Friday, but all good. The pro actually gave me a TM Sim Iron in between my shots to see if that made a difffernce and it came out so much higher and straighter than my current JPX825 Pro which was low and right. I still can’t get over the difference in strike going from my current iron to a Sim 7 iron such a different ball flight. Going to at least get the lies adjusted and then see if it was that or If I do need to look at a different set of irons.

How hard is it to put a Tip on a shaft crooked?
I bought used hibryd shaft on Ebay from G--f Tr-d--rs with a choice of tip, so it means they attached it.
Immeditely i can tell its crooked. Got my workmate to check and he agrees.
Its also too long. I know the exact measurement for this shaft uncut with same tip to the logo and its about 1/4 too long so seems not fully inserted.
