Playing at 349m (black), 334m (blue), 301m (red) The Passage, a gem of a par 4 is not long by any stretch but ranks #4 on both indexes. Even without breeze you are tested with a drive from the back door of former Parramatta coach John Monie's house, with water all the way down the left hand side. Fairway bunkers along the right are around the 220m & 250m. Any ball finding these bunkers will force almost anyone bar the brave to lay up short of the water carry 60m short of the green.
The approach to the green really only has short/right as an available miss. Anything on the left will find the drink, and a large bunker on the right will leave you with a potential testical shrivelling shot with water waiting to swallow anything caught thin.
This hole has killed off many a OZgolf champs round and will be sure to do so again. So how do you plan on tackling The Passage?
