I am down in scenic Albury at the moment and thought that I might take the time to visit Squizzy's Golf Shop.
I went into the shop with minimal expectations and I was probably still let down. I went into buy an umbrella which they have listed online and that was all good. Picked it up for a nice price. Just as well I wasn't really looking for anything else though, because the seem to specialise in crap.
I can't say that I have ever wanted to buy a synthetic mat to practice my fairway and rough shots. Perhaps I am missing out on something.
I was particularly impressed with the physics-defying tees that promise 4 extra yards. Glad they didn't round up to 5 because that would have been hard to believe.
The front of the store screams "quality retail", although to be fair I didn't notice any Brosnan crap whilst inside.
There were two staff at the counter who were busy working on cardboard boxes. One of them met me with the extremely professional "you right mate?". That was a nice touch.
If you want to buy second hand balls then this is your place, but if you are looking for the supreme retail experience then I suggest that you look elsewhere.
They did however have a handfull of bags.
Stick to internet sales lads, because your retail store is shithouse.
