Hitting WAY behind the ball. But only with one particular club ...
Odd problem - just picked up a new five wood (Callaway GBB) and for whatever reason I am hitting massive duffs just with that club. As in consistently hitting the ground about 5cms behind the ball (well behind the centre of my feet).
I can’t ever remember hitting it that badly. Weirdly, every other club from driver to lob wedge is fine. I felt confident with it in hand to begin with, but now starting to wonder what the hell is going on. I’ve checked ball position and that seems OK. Equally, that wouldn’t explain why every other club is not affected.
Any thoughts as to why this would be? I wondered about the shafts but they are similar (x-flex) in all clubs, and the length is appropriate (i.e. the five wood is shorter than the 3 wood and longer than the 3-iron).
