Z Star XV FTW; just works so well for me, low spin, penetrating ball flight. Picked up a heap of the GCO stock using the GCOWELCOME code on top of the already discounted rate. $54 for two dozen.
Gone stale on the Fortes. A good ball but not as much distance as the Z Star. Using them for hit and giggles.
Keen to try out the new Snell ball once I run out of Z Stars. That along with the Q Star tour. I believe that ball to be a reincarnation of the former Z Star SL
Z-stars are the go generally for me, found the same as you described - tour performance (i.e. penetrating flight, checks on the greens), but a lot cheaper than most other balls of the same ilk if you get a sale at GCO!
Anyone had much experience with the Bridgestone Tour B line?
BUSHY the enabler!
Can't seem to access that promo though. Just signed up to their newsletter.
Is the Pro still the go?
Can't get that promo as a newby.
It does say “ as a loyal customer “ in the ad
Z-Star. Considering trying a new ball though just for something to do. Any good ones in yellow?
Just got an email from Bridgestone that I've won a box of the new e12 Soft in some give away they were having. Be interesting to see how they go compared with the Srixon Q Star Tours I'm currently using. I also still have a couple of boxes of an older model Callaway Chrome Soft in the cupboard as well.
Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.
I played the Z-Star over the weekend and wasn't really impressed with it's durability. Will give the Z-Star XV a go though.
I started with a Srixon ad333 on the weekend, ended up losing it on the 12th,so pulled out a tp5x that I must of found somewhere and have it a whack.Seemed to go a bit longer than the Srixon and felt pretty nice off the face.Thought I might get a box, pitty about the price
