Has anyone played/rates Links Lady Bay? Came across the course in a golf magazine and it looks pretty damn nice. Looks like a very Australian links course. Would love to get down there and play it some day...

Played it a few years ago at SA champs, really enjoyed it. Really open and exposed.
Only downside is 3 holes around the back in the houses (14/15/16 I think). Very different from the rest the links, and not really fitting in with the course at all.
The best think about LLB is that you have to drive past Yankalilla Bakery to get there!
Best. Practice green. Ever
Front nine very nice, back nine, once you've crossed the road, very ordinary! (admittedly I am a bit biased as just don't like the place)
LLB is nice but a bit over rated IMHO.
Fleurieu (Mount Compass) is much better layout and course but LLB has it for conditioning easy these days. Sad as Fleurieu in good condition is excellent.

LLB has many good moments and definitely worth a visit. IMHO the stretch from 1-4 is arguably the best in the state

I've always loved lady bay. Interesting to hear people's thoughts on the back 9. Certainly the front 9 is the pick but still an all round great place to stay and play. Also Fleurieu is a great track. Both are worth a visit if you are considering making the trip.
Back 9 has some good holes; 10,17,18 notably

Is this course still ok? Is it still functioning?
Is this the one I played with you Owen where I bailed with a few holes to go?
Yes Ferret

They lost 2 members when they raised PAYG rates on the back of hitting the top 100 courses in Australia. Went to their head.
LLB is a fantastic links style course. A lot of fun and I always treasure the opportunity to play there. The whole 14/15/16 nonsense I don't buy into. Who cares. I don't mind any of them, they each require their own precise shots, thrashers need not apply.
If you get a chance to play it then do, you will not be disappointed.
