So i've been doing this for about a year plus. my practice is always to fill the hosel with epoxy all the way up to the brim. then applying some on the shaft. then put the 2 together

needless to say, the shaft always ends up displacing the excess epoxy from the hosel, which is (i) a bit of a waste of epoxy and (ii) quite messy.

i'm just wondering if there is really a need to fill up the hosel to the brim with epoxy, or whether some of you actually put less into the hosel?
