1 over at Dunheved. 39 points. Never played there before. Decent track. Nice greens. Great value for money.
Drove shabby but was lucky to have shots out of trees. Rest of the game was great.
The humidity was a killer though.

That's a good round Matty. I really miss playing there and have had some low 70s scores there. Played pennant rounds there as a junior and it was always in good condition. So much run and good greens. The par 5s were good holes.

I had 26 points and left very pissed off with myself
Drove it well hitting 11 fairways but missed 11 greens and putted like a fool.
    Dropped back to 4.5
Can't wait for the rain to stop as I need to hit some balls and spend some time on the short game to get the weekend crap out if my head.

Thanks Nuff. The par 5's were there for the taking. Got caught out on one where I didn't know there was a creek crossing and drove into it. Doesn't matter now anyway. Was just rung by my mate who told me he forgot to hand the friggin cards in I left quickly to pick the kids up as he was yelling at his (since a week) ex mrs and supposedly on his way to hand the cards in.

I can't believe you rated the greens at Duneved Matty. Mack, myself & two mates played there yesterday & thought they were horrendously slow & bouncy. Two of the boys are ex members & couldn't get over how crap the greens are. The fairways looked & played great but the four of us won't be rushing back any time soon. Well played by the way.

Hardly! But I'll have a side bet with you for the back 9 scores.

Thanks. That's weird. Found them to be true and certainly not slow. Might have dried out a touch? They were a bit bumpy but maybe I'm easier pleased.
    Bunkers were absolute crap.

Played stableford at maryborough this morning had 40pts. I made a silly bogey on the first from just off the green then birdied the next 2 holes made a few mistakes but hit the ball pretty good and putted well. Lipped out on birdie putts on 11 & 13 then made a 25 footer on 15 for birdie. Double bogey on 17 was a bit disappointing after trying to hit a hard 5 iron into the wind from 185 and hooking in the trees but made a good up and down on the last for par. Handicap down to 6.1.

Public holiday today (hoorah for local horse races) so went out and had a bash in the comp.

Promised myself I wouldn't spit the dummy no matter how bad I played, and would just enjoy myself. Kept to my promise and managed to scrape together 30 points. It was certainly nice to walk off the course feeling relaxed and not disappointed, so I am going to have to do it more often.

Here are the stats - ball striking is actually pretty good (though I hit a few horrible drives) but my biggest problem is I've still got a bad case of cannotgetupanddownitis, and keep making soft bogeys and doubles from the fairway. But at least my putting was solid today, made a couple of long birdie putts and had a couple of pretty unlucky lipouts on the front 9 too.

Firstly I'd like to say that I am unfortunately one those people that only talks about their good rounds, its a character flaw but I'm at least I'm honest. With that out of the way, I shot even par today for only the 2nd time ever at my home course Penrith. It was the first time I have used my 712 AP2's & couldn't be happier, got done by 1 point in A grade ( lipped my putts on 15, 17 & 18, Doh!) but won 2ball scratch.

Congrats on the good round mate - bigger question is what driver did you use?

Great score, matty. I'm jealous of the 1 over.

Well done, OWAG. It looks like I missed seeing the golfer in you on the Sunday.
