People on here take old mate far too seriously. I reckon he is ok.

Massive thread revival.
May get the chance to have a game whilst staying in Kingscliff next month and Coolangatta & Tweed appears to be the best option around. Anyone recently played, dealt with the wet ok?
Also am I likely to get 1992 Rapiers as a hire gear?

If benno_r doesn't reply soon, send him a PM. He has played there recently.

Yep, played them both in the last 6 weeks or so. Suffered massively from the rain, I haven't played it when it hasn't been a slush bowl. Having said that, it was the only course I could play south of the border that was actually open. A few weeks of fine weather it should be bearable.
Courses themselves are just "fine". Not overly good, but not offensive either. Greens are variable on both courses. Last time I played (River course) 9 random holes were crazy slick, the other 9 crazy slow even though they looked alike. Not sure if I'd have a favourite of the 2.
In the region you also have Murwillumbah (haven't played for 5-6yrs and was a gem), Byron which is very enjoyable, or Ocean Shores (haven't yet played).
Can't comment on the hire gear though.

Thanks benno and AndyP, I'll have a look at the others as well, but hoping a couple of weeks of dryish weather helps out.
Will playing Denarau in Fiji the week before, which will be my first game this year..
