Hi guys
I’ve just moved to QLD from Sydney.
Keen to join RQ but obviously need a proposer? Understand there is a bit of a waitlist.
Nemo tells me there are a few RQ members among us, would there be anyone keen to propose me. Nemo can vouch for me, if that holds any substance!!
Look forward to hearing from any RQers!!

Bear in mind that 3 cars on a 4 lane highway is a traffic jam to a tasmanian

Meh I disagree.
Coming back from Tassie 2 days ago. After driving a Hiace camper van round the island for 12 days, my Prado drives like a mini cooper in Brissy.
Road in Tassie is quite a lot more narrow IMO.

Yeah but you drive like Brian O'Connor.
It was an inside joke with the Pilot ( i think he got it) we played golf in Jakarta which is one of the worst cities on the planet for traffic chaos, and he had a nightmare getting to the golf course. Partly due to my poor instructions though

Ah well yeah I have to agree with Jakarta traffic and I am yet to find a place on the globe to beat that.
Every time I was there I just hire a drive with SUV for the entire trip, just to save my headache + not needing to bothering my relatives (My mum is Indonesian Chinese)

They have been working on a couple of plans - there has already been lengthening works for the PGA. There is also a master plan to reuse the land lost to the Gateway bridge expansions. Initial options included a par 3 course and a top golf, a public 9, or a 27hole expansion. The 27 hole expansion is the final choice I believe.

So the land east of the bridge is not currently used? Looking at Google Maps, there doesn't seem to be enough land to build another full sized 9?

No it isn't, there are remnants of 3 or 4 holes from the previous layout, plus a large laydown area that was used for the bridge. RQ already has a spare hole in that vicinity, plus a 200m driving range west of the bridge that can be utilised. I believe 6 or 7 holes will be over that side.
It wont be fully separate though, the existing course will also be rerouted to have all 3 nines starting and finishing at the clubhouse.
