Thread: Posting Drivers

  1. #1

    Default Posting Drivers

    Hi,

I have a few drivers I have to post but as they are over the 105cm limit via Australia Post, I was curious as to the best method you chaps use.

    Cheers
    Tomo

Tomo, see if there is an Aussie Post business centre near you. They usually take them, I have found.

    Especially the one in Blacktown.

Had some success with using Aust. Post sub branches, they often don't know the rules or don't care

BusFreight is another option. Capital Cities are not too bad at all. For Sydney, one of the depot's is on Botany Road opposite Botany Golf Club.

Try the small suburban Post Offices, I think they're privately owned and will take items slightly oversize as they don't wanna miss out on the $$

Have noticed the ones out this way (South West Sydney) measuring nowadays, Maybe Aust Post is fining them or something.

Penrith definitely do - the Golf Factory up the road from them drops their send outs down there, and I've taken stuff in without any issues. May well be worth the drive down the mountain.

Thanks chaps, I will mull over all of the options.

I dont mind the extra dough, but time isnt on my side as I am only home from holidays for 4 days to finish a few big job, then I am off again.

Thanks HMA, I went with Ego.

I estimated the delivery charge to be $20.

They charge $14.50 and $5.50 for one further re-delivery attempt.

They might be a tad slower than other alternatives, but at least I can provide a tracking number to the buyer (no I am not digging up old problems)

I heard you have snapped clubs in half before posting them. Maybe that's why you can go to any post office.
