    Default Loxton Amateur Open 2019

It looks like there is some interest amongst a few of us for this event. See the link below. It runs from the 26th to 28th of July but the main comp is 36 holes at Loxton Golf Club. All you need is a handicap. Entry fee is $55 for the 36 holes. Options for Pinehurst also available. http://www.loxtongolf.com.au/

All entries need to be made by the 12th of July direct to the club. Any takers?

It's a team format where you both tee off, switch balls with your partner and hit your second shot. Then you alternate until the ball is in the hole. That's how I know it..

Some idiot must have decided foursomes wasn’t shit enough so they’ve doubled the fun.

Team up with a 30+ handicapper and spend the day playing from the crap.

I played a round of pinehurst on the weekend and it's actually pretty good fun. It's kinda in between foursomes and ambrose for difficulty.

    Both hit off.
    Switch balls for second.
Then pick best ball and alternate shots until holed out.

You can play from some interesting spots if you both play the game very differently normally.

It doesn't say on the entry form but I assume the Pinehurst is on the Friday with the 36 hole comp Sat/Sun.

Nice one. I assume then you will just stay the one night.

We've got a house in Loxton, there's an extra bedroom with single bed if you're interested

Google idea. Do you know if Friday is the Pinehurst at Loxton?

Thanks for the offer. I'm originally from Berri so we would likely do a family trip for the weekend.

Flavzz: I think so, but 3 rounds around Loxton is a bit much for me personally. Waikerie is a fantastic country track and will be a superb warmup

If the offers open I'd be interested in that?
I'd be up for Friday warm up round at Waikerie too if I could sponge a lift?

I'll send my entry off today.
I can enter in the Veterans category now too

Looks like this is July's S.A Oz Golf round now.
I'll start a thread soon to plan for August round.

I'll check the accommodation shortly, shouldn't be a problem.
TC, did you get an acknowledgement of your entry?

No acknowledgement as of yet, might give Grenfell a call a bit later to check
