Default Monthly Mug / NAGA - March 2016

As per usual - we're looking for the best stableford score for the month, and the worst. Prize is an OzGolf shout - the NAGA has to buy the Monthly Mug winner a beverage/pie/kitchener bun/pork roll/premium ball/coffee/commemorative ball marker or some other agreed prize if they meet at an OzGolf event within a year. Just a bit of fun really.

I'll send the winner and the NAGA (Let's call it the Monthly Bob) a profile questionnaire and post it up in the Monthly Mug Profiles area.

    Clubhouse Leaders:

    Monthly Mug:
    slug 45
    BrisVegas 44
    Hard_Pan 43
    jimandr 42
    Captain Nemo 42

    Monthly Bob:
    Monsta 18
    Hard_Pan 21
    Lagerlover 22
    3puttpete 22
    coalesce 23

Excellent work, Courty. You have been very good at keeping your handicap below mine.

Late charge from BrisVegas with 44, but it's not quite good enough to get the win. Any more scores to come in?

LL, are you sure 3pp shouldn't be sitting in 2nd?

It's always difficult to work out who had the better 22 point round without a thorough analysis.

I didn't score 23 that was the played to. Score was 28 points. I have almost forgotten what golf is, the clubs are very lonely.

    Ahem.

A late nominee, as I notice he had not nominated himself, but the 2015 Vic Champs NAGA put together a solid 18 points on the 20th of March.

This was the worst of his 14 Golflinked rounds for the month

That's harsh. Funny, but still harsh.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

What's more outrageous is that after this weekend, the Vic Champs would have dropped out of his last 20 rounds!

And that doesn't include the 2 days a week of pennant he was playing, nor the 4BBB last weekend and a couple of weeks ago.....

It's a good thing he's dark skinned. All that sun would reek havoc with a pale complexion.

and by tonight, I meant 'eventually'.

    March results are final:

    BrisVegas 44
    Hard_Pan 43
    jimandr 42
    Captain Nemo 42

    Monthly Bob:
