Played a single stab today at carbrook with PeteyD. Was wet under foot and had a few showers during the round but not enough to be a problem. Played great with a 74 with 39 points.

    10 fairways
    7 greeens
    27 putts

3 birdies for the day too which is always nice. One was a chip in on the hardest hole wich gave me a lovley 4 pointer Was good enought that when i was leaving i was in the lead but dont expect it to hold all day. Either way should drop a bit off the old handicap so am happy

Thought i qould put mine in the right week as well then Grunt

At Bankstown with the NSW boys and girls today. I said at the start I'd be happy with 30 points. I got 33. This was mainly due to a number of amazing escapes and up&downs. I just cannot hit the ball off the ground at the moment in the direction I need it to go. I'm having next weekend away from golf. Maybe that will help.

    Fairways = 10 of 13
    Greens in reg = 2 of 18!
Putts = 28, zero birdies, zero 3 putts
    Up&Down = 5 of 9
Sand Saves = 0 of 2 out of very wet sand

Played Eastlake this morning with QANTAS Engineering Golf Club. Had a bad day with the putter. Eastlake greens were way faster than Bankstown yesterday and I lost my rhythym early. Lots of 3 putts on the front 9 (4 ). Back nine was better but the putts were not dropping today, lip outs etc. Driver went well today only 1 poor shot.

    Stats

    31 Points
    95 Gross
    77 Nett
    9/14 Fairways
    4 GIR
    35 putts (4x 3 putts, 5 one putts)
    4/8 Up & Downs
    1/3 Sand Saves
    2 Penalty strokes

Looks like my 39 points was well enough to win the day yesterday by two points. Ccr was 73 so lost a full shot off the handicap to be down to 4.7 Sorry just felt that i had to tell someone.

Played Werribee Park yesterday in fairly cool conditions. Drizzled for about an hour and a half mid way through the round.

    92 gross / 71 nett
    37 points
    30 putts (6 x 1 putts, no 3 putts )
    8 Fairways
    2 GIR
    0 Birdies
    5 Pars
    7 Bogies
    5 Doubles
    1 "other"
    0 Wipes
    3/5 Sand Saves

Again, I did not add anything up along the way, and with 2 lost balls on two different holes giving me a 7 and an 8 there, I thought I was not travelling too well.

Have to start taking a more positive attitude in future!

Had an 84 off the stick in a stroke round for a nett 67 to win todays comp. Also playing a 4BBB Trophy, unfortunately my partner had a NETT 83 and we still only missed out by 1 stroke on the trophy .

I had an awful display of ball striking, but 7 x 1 putts saved the day. With a crappy 2 GIR for the day I scored very well. If it wasn't for a triple bogey 8 on the par 5 11th it could have been a very special day.

played in the foursomes championship qualifying today.

We shot 73 to just sneak into the 8 team matchplay finals.

Hit it pretty well and I think we will be a good show, we both missed quite a few gettable birdie ooportunities and a double bogey on the 12th killed our momentum when I knifed a 9 iron OOB from the centre of the fairway !

    Club Champs Round 3.

Another 83/ 75. My ball-striking was still poor, but getting closer to where it needs to be. Again it was my short game that saved me from a worse score.

    Fairways: 5
    Greens: 4
    Putts: 29

Unfortunately that probably puts me out of the running to make the top 16. I realistically needed 3 rounds in the 70s to have a chance.

Saturday, social hit at Brookwater from the plates. 26 points. Lost 4 balls and generally hit it like a busted arse.

    10 fairways
    6 GIR
    33 putts

Sunday, Nudgee Plate. 76 gross for 68 nett. Hit my irons much better and and avoided trouble mostly. Only one 3 putt, but missed plenty of makeable ones.

    10 GIR

Generally stunk it up a bit.

    Shot +2 for 35 points.

Shouldv'e turned 6 under at worst (turned -2) and then made 4 of the crappiest bogies on my 2nd nine without recording a birdie.

The putter was disgraceful and as soon as the driver misbehaved it all went south. All 4 bogies on my 2nd nine were 1 putts too!

Had a net 74 - 3 over par on Saturday, was pretty happy considering I started very badly, I hit off at 6.30 and it was cold, I could not feel my hands for the first few holes and started with a triple bogey on the first, bogey on the second, then 8 straight pars. had a couple of doubles on the back 9 too. but pretty good considering my start.

Also very happy due to a new swing change working quite well, just need to work on my shoulder alignment now.

Hey it was 5* or less and a cold breeze, thats pretty cold for someone from brissy, one guy in my group was wearing a shirt and shorts thou, said he comes from the hinterlands in NSW, so it wasn't cold for him. It warmed up pretty quick once the sun came up.

    Club Champs Round 4.

My ball-striking woes continued, however my short game wasn't able to save my score this time. I guess there is some sort of consolation in the fact that only 5 players beat their handicaps due to the double-cut & rolled greens plus a constant 30km/h swirling wind.

Strangely, I seem to have hit more fairways than my previous rounds. But wasn't able to convert it on the scorecard.

    86/78
    Fairways: 8
    Greens: 5
    Putts: 31

Edit: I ended up 16th in the nett, but now I suspect that the matchplay is top 16 gross, in which case I missed out by a few places.

I played at Tamborine Mountain Golf Course on Sunday with Mrs Sasquatch & the Yowies. Tough walk but worth it. Greens were in excellent condition & with a few tiered it made quite a challenge. People of SEQ keep the 2nd Sunday of the month in mind for a trip to Mt Tamborine. Excellent Sunday morning markets at the Showgrounds & a round of golf. Lunch at St Bernards hotel if you're lucky.
