Finding a coach - SE Qld
Long story short, but my old coach got me down to being a solid 5 maker, shot a round under par, and generally appearance of someone who is be able to play golf. Unfortunately, he's left the golf business, moved interstate, and not someone I can reach out to anymore.
I haven't really found a "model" for his methodology, but it involved a flexion takeaway movement, and turn back through the ball with very quiet wrists and hands.
Closest I could find online is similar to this:
Anyway, I'm back in the FIFO lifestyle, so I fully expected my golf to slide (and it has), but I am struggling to find someone who teaches a similar methodology.
I have seen 3 other coaches, and all of them have a "fast hands" / "try hit hooks" style that seems to relay a lot on timing. All this is doing is having me hit wipey block / fades lacking compression - or the dreaded "oh shit" snap hook / flip.
There is no one on the Fraser Coast who coaches the way I want - anybody have any recommendations in Brissy / Sunshine Coast region who might employ similar methodology?

Why do you need someone to "teach" you what you already know?

Mainly because with the influx of other coaching ideas, it's turned into a bit of a mish mash and its still not really working.
I can remember the basic fundamentals, but I even though it feels like I am doing everything right, the ball is showing me I am not. Would like to find someone who teaches this way so I have a resource for occasional "tune ups" when required.

Not against it if its the same fundamentals. Prefer to be able to see them face to face first to explain exactly what we did, and how they can take it from there.

Do some research on Mike Adams, Terry Roles and EA Tis hler, and learn how to coach yourself.
Most golf coaches teach their way, avpid them like the plague we need a coach that teaches our way. The secret us finding out what exactly is our way.

Criticism doesn't bother me, as it means I am doing something and people are watching.

Have you seen Lachlan Wood at Fraser Coast Performance Golf. He is really good. Based at Hervey Bay but hard to get in with.
