Long story short, but my old coach got me down to being a solid 5 maker, shot a round under par, and generally appearance of someone who is be able to play golf. Unfortunately, he's left the golf business, moved interstate, and not someone I can reach out to anymore.
I haven't really found a "model" for his methodology, but it involved a flexion takeaway movement, and turn back through the ball with very quiet wrists and hands.
Closest I could find online is similar to this:
Anyway, I'm back in the FIFO lifestyle, so I fully expected my golf to slide (and it has), but I am struggling to find someone who teaches a similar methodology.
I have seen 3 other coaches, and all of them have a "fast hands" / "try hit hooks" style that seems to relay a lot on timing. All this is doing is having me hit wipey block / fades lacking compression - or the dreaded "oh shit" snap hook / flip.
There is no one on the Fraser Coast who coaches the way I want - anybody have any recommendations in Brissy / Sunshine Coast region who might employ similar methodology?
