But didn't they pick the best side ever? If it were the best side ever why the need for changes?

I'm not sure who you would drop, although if either of these two are available they will find room.

I would drop Webb (as I think he goes missing too often), but they will probably keep him for impact off the bench. He certainly can provide a spark if he is on his game. Perhaps Hannant to make way for Price?

The other change is tricky. I can see Marsh being dropped, Slater to the bench and Hunt to fullback. Bring Slater on at fullback and push Hunt to lock during the game?

I don't recall anyone saying it was 'the best side ever'

The backline on paper looked as good as any you've ever seen before for QLD, but we all know origin is a defence dominated game these days ... meaning the forwards have to do their job before the backs can do anything.

Well Lockyer sure played a great game last night. Lets hope he pulls up well and get onto the second game. With luck Price will also go well. This is all bad news for Prince i'd say, tho i'd love to see him on the bench. Get ready you Roaches!

No Gasnier or Hayne (he should spend a few weeks on the sideline) - I think our backline will struggle to score points. I also think it will be hard to dominate their forwards again, especially at home.

The only consolation is that Hodges should also be out.

Gasnier is a ball hog and there were points left out there in the first game because he didnt pass. Wont miss him and Hayne will be fine . If his not he was quiet in the first game anyway. Qld are Goneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! !

Gasnier is a lot better than he was - he butchered 1 chance in the first game, but was directly responsible for setting up two others.

Missing gasnier will hurt you guys mentally. How many times in a game do they just throw the ball to him in the hope he'll beat his defender one-on-one and set something up ??

Lyon is tipped to take his place ....... cool

Joel Monahan could play too, would be the form centre of the comp.

Gasnier was close to the best on the field.

No real biggie for us anyway ... if Hodges is out, we'll just pair up Inglis and Folau in the centres.

With Lockyer at 5/8 ... they'll get plenty of quality ball
