An alleged racial slur delivered by NSW assistant coach Andrew Johns is believed to be behind Timana Tahu's stunning departure from the NSW State of Origin camp.
Just four days out from the must-win clash against Queensland in Brisbane, Tahu has rocked the Blues by abruptly walking out on the squad's North Coast training base following a clash with Johns.
It is believed the pair fell out after Johns made a racial-based remark earlier in the week.



The comment was not directed at Tahu but he took great offence, informing coach Craig Bellamy on Friday that he could not stay on with the team.

I've heard a few stories about his behaviour on Newcastle's end of season trips and he's a complete grub.

Having said that a significant % of players were grubs before Johns played, and a significant % of the players running around now are exactly the same. Unfortunately, given the opportunity (and profile) I suspect a significant % of young blokes would act exactly the same way.
