Hunt and Tolman at best on the bench ... even with form, you cant send two rookies out in SOO in the engine room ... they'd be on them like seagulls on a chip.

    Farrah got outplayed in City/Country by a stand-in ...

Hayne will be in the team ... not on the bench.

OK. I'm from Wollongong. Moved up here in '86.

This is the first time for a long while I've looked forward to SOO. I think NSW can win it as long as the right team gets picked.

Anyway the NSW selectors don't read ozgolf so we're wasting ink here.

Would love to see Merrin get a run. But that's the red V talking now.

    Probably shit.

I love this thread coming up every year and reminding me of that great term for all NSW supporters - Arseclown!

Found a pic of SMS trying to eat his way out of depression over the Arseclowns and those Green Arseclowns as well

Birds a top Origin performer but just doesn't have enough flair in that 5/8 role. NSW have some form centres and wingers and getting these guys good ball at the right times will go a long way to making them (Blues) competitive. Bird would be one of the first two forwards picked for mine.

He is no certainty to play for Penriff this weekend, you would have to think he is a few weeks off being anywhere near fit enough to play an Origin. Was being bandied about on the League Lounge last night after the Eagles win. Players who can cover every position are valuable off the bench. Not sure where Gidley is with his injury, maybe Lewis comes into contention if he doesn't play.

That said, he aint up to it.

Lewis was on NRL on Fox last night saying he's almost certain to play this friday against the Broncos.

Well, you've had your arses handed to you for the last 5 years ..... you'd think the motivation would be pretty strong to stop this embarrassment.

SOO is littered with the corpses for overconfident favourites. Pretty sure all of them wear blue, but the tide can turn.
