    Default Week commencing 11th Feb

Marked improvement over Gailes at Reddy Bay today, despite the course being extremely soggy. 34 pts, 95 off the stick. Mainly bad thanks to 5 duffed chips and 3 putting 17 and 18 for washes 33 Putts, 5 Fairways. Reasonably happy with effort today.

Oh I took the Pings out and put the Macs back in. They suit me a lot better!

I limped in with 32 points today. 17 on the front with 2 wipes, and 15 on the back with 1 wipe. The humidity was stifling once again, and since the greenkeeping contractor got the arse, the course hasn't been mowed as often as it needs. Very tough going. I'm stuffed now. Gonna go lie down I think.

Was a 4ball stroke today but still kept my own score. Managed a 77 off the stick with a 7 over on the first 9 (10-1 then a 1 under on the second 9 (1-9). Course was a bit wet under foot still so with little run on the ball am fairly happy. One over the new handicap. LOTS of room for improvment though.

    Fairways 8/14
    Greens 7/18
    putts 28.

A solid 36 points (17-19) today... driver continued to be on song and the irons came back into play, poor chipping, a silly OOB from the tee with my hybrid and a 3 putt for bogey from 3 feet stopped it being a really good round.

Worst round of golf i've had .... i had no real idea where any shot was going to end up and the more i tried to work stuff out, the worse it got.

I hate those days. Dad always said when its going to crap like that, just think two things only, head still and start backswing really slow.

    Played at Dunheved today.
    34 points
    91 Gross
    34 Putts
    7 Fairways
    5 GIR
    5 Pars
    8 Bogies
    4 Doubles
    1 Triple

Played pretty good, Driver worked well on all but 2 holes. Stroke is getting good. Think it was my best ball striking game for quite some time. Putting was not too good was solid but nothing dropped, lots of 1 foot second putts. Had a chip in on the second last hole.

    Saturday 16/2/08 - Nudgee South
    ---------------------------------
    Stroke MM - 88/76 (par 72)

    Fairways: 7/13
Greens in Reg: 3/18 (only going for 14)
    Putts: 33
    U/D: 5/15 (2/3 from SAND)

Driver was a bit hit and miss, missed 6 fairways which is unusual for me. Mostly in the right rough but one in the left. Didn't feel confident standing on the tee thats for sure. Didn't feel like i was playing too badly, had a stretch of 5 pars in the middle of the round and another 3 in a row towards the end. 1 Quad bogey hurt my score.

Maybe i'm just not a wind player... it was very hard to judge the wind out there.

    Sunday 17/2/08 - Nudgee North
    ------------------------------
    Stab: 30 (17-13)

    Fairways: 8/14
Greens in Reg: 3/18 (Not going for 9)
Putts: 28+ (1 hole not finished out)
    U/D: 3/15

Driver was off again today, missed 6 fairways again , mostly on the right rough but one on the left. Once again i think the wind was a factor. Just couldn't put it all together today. Sunk a couple of monster putts to save par a couple of times but apart from that i wasn't friends with the putter, although i had no 3 putts.....

Finding it mentally difficult to stay in it for the back nine. I really need to work on that!

Social chop around Moore Park today and the good iron shots from yesterday were straight out the window. Driving was again solid but I couldn't hit a green from anywhere until the 11th hole and even then I had to hit it from 200m.

Poor day all round really 27pts, although my mate and I grabbed the cash against our regular opponents thankfully.

Stats haven't been done but it was lots of fairways, not many (4 if I was lucky) greens, lots of chips and then lots of putts

Played with the Vic Boys at Southern yesterday - and I forgot to put my swing in my bag Played like a skirt all day except for a few flashes on what I can do. It was hot hot hot and I really struggled - post Valentines Day. A miserable 28 points.
Chappy played nearly as bad on the front 9 but came good in the end. I'll let him post the gory details of our matchplay - suffice to say I'm not in the next round.

Great to meet a few new Ozgolfers and renew friendships with the older ones. I have some photos that I will try to put up soon.
