Agree. He hasn’t been convicted criminally for the first rape charge and he’s not going to jail (yet). But this civil case means we can safely dispense with “alleged”. Not that he’s going to have much spare cash left after paying everyone’s costs, but he’s gonna have to pay for his own coke and hand jobs now too.

I don't agree with this at all. Completely different set of assumptions.

He’s welcome to sue me for defamation for calling him a rapist.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

The justice believes that's the case. He did not use alleged.Seeing as the first trial was aborted for juror misconduct, Lehrman has brought this upon himself. As my female friend who met him at APH told me years ago, he was a sexual predator. A Judge confirmed that today.

This supports my opinion that 12 inexperienced (in law matters) random citizens should not be relied on to decide an alleged criminal's guilt or innocence.

Surely you are suggesting 12 solicitors is the answer, if you are, you haven't met enough of them.

Only if they get paid the current juror's daily allowance.

That will speed up the decision making process and reduce the backlog of cases to be heard.

I think the jury's still out on that one (I've been waiting years to use that).

I'm quite uncomfortable with the conclusion that a plaintiff is so arrogant they will sue for defamation regarding an allegation that was actually true. The same concern applies to the Ben Roberts-Smith case. I seriously wonder about the quality of the legal advice provided to the plaintiff in both instances.

But Mr Lehmann is a golfer! Who knew? I'd certainly be carrying a rule book with me if ever playing a game with him.

You're just asking to be sued. Just because he is a rapist, doesn't mean he cheats at golf.
