Meh. It only takes 10 seconds to find, and it's probably worth 10 seconds.

My street comes off Drummond. We can hear the speedway sometimes, but you only notice it when everything is turned off.

    Classic whinging by Denise.

That reminds me of the dicks that bought swanky houses in Milton then complained about the brewery. It was there before any houses were. Deal with it.

It's the same as moving the OOB lines on golf courses because of residents.

I can hear the trains coming into Cleveland station clear as a bell on most nights, perhaps they should close it down too?.

Men at Work lose kookaburra copyright case

The Australian band Men at Work has lost a copyright case over the song 'Down Under.'
Larrikin Music accused the band of stealing the 'Down Under' flute riff from the children's song "Kookaburra Sits In The Old Gum Tree', which it owns the rights to.
The company sought compensation from 'Down Under' songwriters Colin Hay and Ron Strykert.
The Federal Court has ruled in Larrikin's favour.

I am not surprised by that decision. The riff was clearly ripped off from the Kookaburra song.

Apparently the original tune was a rip off a Welsh folk song.

And they could be looking at as much as 60% of the songs earnings.

Is it just me or does the picture of that robot look like "she" is about to start nagging?
    Forum needs more banter.

Was the speedway noise issue really an issue, or just a storm in a tea cup by a demented old bag?

I ask as I am a passionate speedway fan, and have seen many tracks in Wagga, Canberra, Newcastle and Liverpool close down due to residential development encroaching on the facilities

How close are the houses to Archerfield now - and isn't the track next to an airport?

I don't, it just happened to be on after the news in another room and I saw the story as I was passing.

As far as my suburb is concerned, I put it down to a demented old bag.

I've never been to the speedway, and rarely pass through Archerfield to know how close residents are. It is in an industrial area though.
