Keep you're eye's on the big Pineapple and the Big Banana. Once they got, watch out for Clive P opening the big fruit salad.

Pfft, would never make it to the salad, Clive wouldn't be able to resist eating them first.

Another day, another ugly incident on public transport:
    http://www.watoday.com.au/queensland...228-33nue.html

Two chicks abuse and beat up a guy who's half blind and 70 years old. This isn't some brick ****house covered in prison tattoos, that would make anyone think twice. It's two chicks in party frocks.
I'm about as muscular as a 12 year old girl, but I'm fairly confident I could step in and get between them and their victim. Well done to the guys who got them off the bus.

Why doesn't this stuff happen in front of me? The people on the bus that let this go on for the time it did should be ashamed of themselves. Finally someone intervened and good on them for doing 'the right thing'. I feel for the driver, being openly attacked in the media for not doing anything. Trouble is he would've ended up portrayed as an aggressor like the driver that flogged a couple of little shits a few months back for spitting on him and threatening him for 30+ minutes...
    "He should be sacked "
"You can't take the law in your own hands"
    "They're only kids "

These comments get more and more tiring the more often these things keep happening. Makes me wild.

I always hope I will stand up, but clearly most would say that and they don't.

Older bloke that worked with me came in one day with blood all over his shirt, had been in a dust up on the train. I asked him at 55 why he got himself involved, said that the guy who hit him was fawning all girls on the train and was drunk. He told me nobody was doing anything so he did because he always hoped someone would stand up for his daughter, wife or Mum. Still makes me think what a champion fella he was and still is.

It's everywhere now, and that's the trouble, you don't have to go too far to find it.

I've had a few "moments" over the last 4-5 years, a couple involved invites to the police station, but looking back at all of them I wouldn't change a thing.

I'll admit I am a highly strung unit, I wear my heart on my sleeve and am very much a reactive character.

The sad thing is that up until a few years ago I was the life of the party, and always made sure it was good clean fun, and everyone was enjoying themselves and got home safely.

But now, and at my wife and boys' expense, I choose not to take my family out at night or large gatherings like markets and fairs.
All because if I look close enough, I find behaviour that affects others enjoyment. And, unfortunately I see a red flag and away I go.

I don't know if it is a false boyhood recollection, but I have no memory of any major trouble witnessed to family outings in the 70/80's.
I'm not stupid, I'm sure it was there, just struggle to remember any incidents that we were exposed to.

    So what is it?
    - Obviously breakdown of social structure in some sections of the community has a lot to do with it.
-Is it the damage that some have done internally to the church and organisations such as the scouts 30 and 40 years ago... fyi we have no interest in pointing our kids to either.
    - Is it the feel good idea that kids have all the rights adults do?
    - The availability of alcohol. There was a pub on every corner in Adelaide..but takeaways and discount bottleshops were harder to find. The worst we ever did was drink stolen wine from a mates cellar, or a 6 pack of warm beer .
    - Access to cheap drugs..can't comment, never tried anything outside of a couple of joints.. but from what my neighbours kids tell me, the sneaky sip of beer is a thing of the past.

No LL. Its simply down to respect. All that other crap wouldn't be an issue if there was still elements of respect not just for other people but for ourselves. The drunk teen girls are a perfect example. I'm only 31 but even when I was 16-17 before I joined the Army I would never have dreamt of going out pissed in public and making a c*** of ourselves and neither would any of my friends, male or female. Now it seems like a 'badge of honour' for these tools. Don't get me wrong even in my Army days we would raise he'll BUT we were always respectful to each other and those around us. Even if it got out of hand and we were told to STFU, we did so, apologising and keeping it contained. Now it seems you tell some punk to keep it down and it's on like donkey kong.

All sense of respect is disappearing and fast.

Also add in the lack of taking responsibility for their own actions.

Not to mention the "I got a medal and I didn't even try" entitlement issue.

These same people get told "No" or STFU and they just lose it.

A lot of them need a good slapping.

I get what you guys are saying... My question is at what point is the when should the self respect no longer "offered" by the do gooders...because that seems to be the first thing raised in court.

Really sick of hearing how our kids need smoke blown up their horse.

Respect is earned...that's all they need as a mantra. Maybe that can be their first tattoo.
