I know what you are saying and I agree, but the media lapped it up and sensationalised it. If they didn't do that, then I reckon corby would have been out years ago. Lets see what happens with Leeza Tracey Ormsby, in a Bali jail now, claims innocence, but very little media fuss. Though if anything, the Corby saga might make it worse for her too.

Mine are flex days. I work enough in 9 days to build up the time to take every second Friday off.

How 9 weeks? even with RDO's on top of 4 weeks annual leave it works out more like 6 tops? or are you entitled to more leave than most or more than 1 RDO per month?

A mate of mine works FIFO, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Add in 5 weeks annual leave and he only works 21 weeks a year. He loves it.

I had a neighbour who did six weeks on/off in the merchant navy. He said it made his personal life insane with boredom in his time off at home, and his wives hated it too. He resorted to beer and pot mainly. They found his legs and arms in a tyre shop rubbish bin and his body in the harbour. They never found the head.
