*Touch wood* my back has settled right down over the last few months, which certainly helps matters. I can make a full free swing without any discomfort.

I wouldn't say putting was a weakness. The fitting reinforced that I have been using the right putter for my stroke, but the new one really helped with my aim/ alignment.

The big difference yesterday was the putts... apart from the 14th (59cm) the made birdie putts would have been in the 12-15ft range. The putter fitting seems to have worked a treat!

I did some quick stats (for posterity)...

    10/14 fairways
    10/18 greens
    5/8 up & downs
    26 putts

Now that's celebrating a good round. I'm not sure Courty does drugs though.

County, wouldnt it have been less hard work if you birdied the easy holes instead?

Sounds good in theory, but I take whatever opportunities I'm presented with.

Great way to finish though! Sneak up on a good score with a dash to the finish line. No time to get nervous then.

Gross differential of +35 from Sunday's round. That's conquering the game and some.

I couldn't have done it without the 83 stableford points on Sunday. I don't remember the HIOs, eagles, and maybe even albatrosses that I must have had to do that, but it was all such a blur.

If I carry the "form" from Sunday, you'll need three times that.

Did you enter the stableford points into the computer instead or your stroke score. Couple of peanuts here did that a few weeks ago. 80+ poihts each.

I didn't, but someone else put my gross stroke score as my stableford score.

I had a round like that at Mt Coolum many years ago! Came home to my first ever single figures HC - kinda wanted to leave it alone, but alas I contacted the club too.

Simmsy tried to make me crumble, but my oragami swing held strong. I eat pieces of shit like him for breakfast.

I was pretty chill as I'd shot 79* the weekend before but the index 1 and 2 were both on temp greens and each were playing about 75m shorter. So the monkey was kind of off my back.
