I need a ruling from the ozgolf authority. Today shot my lowest 9 hole score, 5 under on the Front 9 as per the scorecard.
But it was a shotgun and I started on the 15th, have I conquered the game?

My actual first four holes in the shotgun start most certainly were not

Sharky says it counts. Big Jay isn’t so sure.

If my 29 for 9 on our Friday arvo comp counts last summer, then your round counts too

You've got to take the wins in golf as they don't come along too often
36/35 today for -1. Been a while since going low and was happy to birdie the last to finish strong as my recent chances have been to bogey or worse the last 3.
3 putt on 16 was disappointing. And miss d 2 good birdie chances on 5 and 12 inside 2 metres. But otherwise finally some good play. Even if it was from the white tees.

My best round from the back tees in a stroke round. Really unlucky bogey to finish but even par 72 isn't anything to complain about.
New goals are in the 60's off any tee and break par off the plates.

Well played, M3J, especially with that blip on 2.
I have the goal of shooting in the 60s this year too, except my course is a par 67, and I'm running out of time.

I love posting in this thread.
-1 off the stick this morning on renovated greens. 2 birdies, 1 bogey, 15 pars. Greens probably cost me a few more birdies.

gotta love us golfers, every golf score report is followed by a 'but'. Why do we do that?

It's like fishing, the one that got away. Yeah, I caught a 100kg tuna, but you should've seen this other one...

a Reality check last Saturday. I played solid golf without luck for what I thought was a pretty well made 36 points off 10 (82/72). Sitting in the clubhouse later, reviewing the scores for the day. One of our low markers off +1 has 42 points (65/72 par). And a long term Pro member off +6 had 40 points i.e. 10 under 62/72.

2 under par for 43pts (off 5). 3 bogies & 5 birdies. The new flatstick is going well.

Yesterday I set a new best ever score. I feel like it's been building for a little while after a string of solid rounds over the last few months, but I certainly didn't see it coming on the day.
The big difference yesterday was the putts... apart from the 14th (59cm) the made birdie putts would have been in the 12-15ft range. The putter fitting seems to have worked a treat!

Is the body okay at the moment too? It was holding you back a bit before.
I wasn't convinced by my putter fitting, so haven't purchased, as we seemed to just tack it on at the end, and I don't consider it a weakness of mine. Was it a weakness for you before?
