Default Is it wrong to want a new Driver?

Well, here I sit with a moral (slight exageration) dilema. My driver, the longest serving club in the bag, a club that still has a place in my heart, really might be in some danger of being left in the cupboard. The last month I have simply lost it with this club, unable to rely on the once reliable. Unable to trust the once faithful.

So do I perservere because the FT3 has simply outlasted and outplayed all contenders or should I be tempted by one of those scantily clad, artificially enhanced beauties parading themselves in golf shop windows?

Maybe a change in weight, or lie angle or colour? will be enough to return some mojo to a driver swing gone horribly wrong?

What says the crowd in the golfing colusseum -thumbs up or thumbs down -live or die?

The FT3 is as good as anything out there miro. Maybe just try a lesson or a demo club for a change of perspective.

Bench it for a couple of rounds. I did that yesterday and it had a profound effect.

There's nothing to loose with buying a new driver (just don't buy from the shops), try it out, and if it's no better than what you've got sell it. There will always be those who say go get fitted once and do it right, but then it's no fun trying out other gear. There's nothing better than once in a while hitting the jackpot and finding a club that works miracles.

    You're typing is atrocious... it's X-flex, not A-flex.

I haven't reshafted it yet, the TP shaft has been going too well. I'm gonna give it some more time.

There might be a V2 HL for sale soon.

My ex FT3 had been giving me a hard time lately , then my club pro had a few TM Burner demo clubs available with different shaft flex and lofts, let me take them to the driving range not far from the course .

Hit a couple of buckets [also took the FT3] and one of the demos was outperforming the FT3 consistently, especially with control. Had to grip down the shaft as it was 1" longer than the FT3.

Unfortunately he wouldn't accept a trade in on the FT3. I found the same club at Drummonds with $150 trade in . Did the deal.

Took it out twice , first on the driving range and today on the course.

    Happy.
