Strike me pink - is this made up as we go along? It's 16 players or what....do we have a special grade of membership on the forum that no one knows about?

Its called the law of first mention. So not made up as we go along at all, except for the wanker that first mentioned it. I wonder who that was?

AFAIK No need for reverse gloating. My life is based about published rules and regulations, not make it up as you go along stuff that someone seems to remember from 2006 maybe kind of sort of. I saw 16 names played and don't being an Ozgolf day can't see why we need to check who or how long someone has been a member. Obviously I need to adjust my perspective for Ozgolf's establishment.

16 players, 16 members whatever. I've moved on. An unusual set of rules but hey if that is the rules then I can play by them. Any chance these Ozgolf rules could be made a sticky for those of us that haven't been around that long.

Hux me old mate I am probably just as much as stickler for published rules and regulations as you, and you are right, it should be written somewhere, and stickied. But like the first rules of golf, it took some time for the general and applied conventions to make it to the first rule book.

The idea behind "16 Ozgolfers" is that for an example (a ridiculous one to clarify the point) if there was 4 Ozgolfer and 12 mates then its not really an Ozgolf day is it, so 16 was the line drawn in the sand.

I think if one was too look hard enough, you may well find that the conversation occured in the actual Honour board thread.

That's where people get confused. Moderators set the rules for posting on the forum, etc, but not for any comps, games that are organised. I am no more of an authority on that than any other member, however I am involved in it, as are others.

Actually, I take that back. I'm off to the WA Champs thread to set some rules for their game.

There is a precedent where certain persons have awarded themselves their own merit bars. So go for it!

p.s. Merit bars have no cred. Its only the Honour board that counts.
