    Default G'day

    Hi everyone,
I am new to the site, Grunt's been raving about this joint at work so thought I would see what he is on about. I must say I feel very welcome so far with the advice I am after for my new jousting sticks.

For the record, I am 36, starting playing again this year after a 4 year lay off, I am a member of Beverley Park in Sydney and am attempting to get out of the 20's (hcp).

Feel a bit silly by creating a user name that resembles very closely one of you existing members (sorry Choppa) but I dont think I can change that.

I am sure we will catch up around here at some stage.

    Cheers

    Jamie

Good to see you here, Jamie. Will be good to put some OzGolf Bragging rights on the table at our Work games. Should see if we can get more of the boys on here.
You should try and get up to the champs in November at Kooralbyn Valley.

    Hi Jamie,

    welcome aboard.

We'll try not to judge you by association with Grunt.

Welcome Chopper, and commiserations on working with Grunt.

I don't see any confusion between Chopper and Choppa, as they are pronounced completely different. If you do want a change of name, it can be done though.

Reckon Beverley is a pretty apt name for Jamie

Welcome mate. Don't worry too much about the name. We can just pretend we are identical twins and blame the other one for anything that goes wrong. No one will have a clue

You are just lucky that I have forged such a sterling reputation for you to jump upon.

Now get out there and start playing under your handicap

Yes I do believe Grunt is like this at work as well. He used to have the nickname "Haveachat" when we were apprentices although these days I have heard references to "Tiger" being used for him.
