    Default Peter_rs vs golfer69 & Brisvegas Vs Dc68 @ Sat Nov 3rd....Windaroo...Monthly medal

    Okay guys.

While 69er is offline for a few days, give me some ideas on where to play him and whats his type of game as i've never played with him before.

    Any hints?

I learnt from Jarro... don't play him on a short course
I learnt from Shazza.... don't play him hung over
I learnt from Eags.... dont' play him on a course designed by his company / hard course...

    Anything else????

I didn't think it was fair considering i'm at a wedding the day before (read: getting drunk to put up with Shazza's family) and for the last two years i've won my 'grade'.

Bulimba par 3..... I know where that is.... 2 ferry stops away. and you go back to the bar every 3 holes... could be perfect A shot of jack for every hole someone is down.... two shots per hole for the person who is up.

Thanks for the support AP.... I like trying to set records.

How about Riverlakes being an old home club of Pete's, therefore it's not a "neutral venue" as suggested by the rules. That's a much better excuse.

Not to mention much wider fairways, which is a definite advantage for someone who sprays it a bit as opposed to a bunter.

it's unlikely to be City GC this weekend as I got a message from g69 saying he's hurt his back and is 50-50 whether he'll play the pro-am.

It was never my home club... I was just a corp member. TGC held my AGU.

I would go the other way. windaroo has so much more room and long which I like. riverlakes has water everywhere that gets me is so much trouble.

why I do it to myself all the time. I have only broken 80 3 times. twice at windy. if you want shazza to bring me down it would have to be a sunday round .

But in seriously do people think windy is harder then river lakes. at windy you see the trouble at riverlakes its hidden.

on a side note how green is oxely come up with the rain.

I think Riverlakes is easier than Windaroo. I've only played it twice (I think) and played to hcap both times. It's shorter and there are more scoring opportunities. I've played Windaroo about 50 times and played to hcap maybe 3 or 4 times max.

    I'm the other way.

I can get to all the par 5's at windy in 2 but I can only get to 1 at riverlakes

theres no forced lay ups for me at windy but there is at riverlakes.

yes riverlakes is shorter but you have to plan you way more. IMO

Am I not mistaken, but isn't 13 long with water down the right and houses/OB down the left??? If you spray your driver off the tee either way you're screwed!

#1 & #3 are pretty tight too, not good for a sprayer. Come to think of it, I've never seen anyone get home on the 1st in two shots. It's pretty long.

Very true Dion, I have played with Nudgee on quite a few occasions at Windy and he has hit some monster drives on that hole and never got home.
Pete, no offense mate but if Nudgee can't get home then none of us can
