    Default Peter_rs vs golfer69 & Brisvegas Vs Dc68 @ Sat Nov 3rd....Windaroo...Monthly medal

    Okay guys.

While 69er is offline for a few days, give me some ideas on where to play him and whats his type of game as i've never played with him before.

    Any hints?

I learnt from Jarro... don't play him on a short course
I learnt from Shazza.... don't play him hung over
I learnt from Eags.... dont' play him on a course designed by his company / hard course...

    Anything else????

I'm not saying I can get to all the par 5's every time in all condition. but I have got to all of them at one stage.

    the 1st is only 490m
the 13 th is 520m by the dogleg

In comparison the 13th at riverlakes is 560m and even downwind the best I have done is 10m of the front. I have also hit a 5 wood on to the 280m par 4 15. anything can happen in the right conditions.

3rd is tight but not that long so you can lay up of the tee or if you trust your driver aim at the left hand bunker and cut away. on most holes at windy there is a clear lay up zone at 200 of the tee you can play for.

I have played golf with 69 a few times. The last thing that comes to mind is that he is a straight hitter of the golf ball off the tee with his driver.

quite a handy short game though. With a couple of more shots under his belt he will be a sought after partner in ambrose events.

I'm a chance for Windaroo if you make it EARLY on a Sat or Sun morning. Perhaps dc68 would like to play too, so we can have the two semi-final matches in one group. Much as it kills me to pay green fees elsewhere these days, I need to get the match played sooner or later.

I thought you were playing Windarooo.

oh well at Colonial you could play a modified matchplay, winner is the one who can play the most consecutive holes without losing a ball.

In fact I'd bet you $100 you cannot finish the whole 18 holes using the same ball you started with.
