I watched it and if anything it has made me interested to now try the Q Star Tours (old model) I bought off Golfbox a couple of weeks ago for $31.

I still can't go past the previous generation Z-Star XVs. I got a few dozen on run out and they've been great.

Whatever you throw at the XV it delivers in spades, long ball with plenty of zip out of the middle of the club

I bought a dozen proV1 refurbished just before lockdown.Anyway, last week finally got them onto the course. At first I thought they were sh1t,and then realised it was just me
After 4 rounds with them in 8 days,my thoughts of them are very high.Yes a premium ball, but mine are refurbished.I have played alot of different brands over the last few years, these are staying in the bag

Q star tour is a great ball. The 2020 version for under $30 was a massive steal.

Been playing AVX in the wind and can't fault it either.

I find a heap of soft feels when searching for my own ball in the bush so maybe I'll use some of them next.

The soft feel is a horrible ball. Launches very high.

    Took the Kirkland out today.
Surprisingly solid feel off the drive and a little dull off the putt.
Didn't hit it well on the first few holes today but after that it was pretty awesome off the tee.

Now I'm not a big spinner, but I have to admit my chipping today was checking alot of greens. Earlier was more surprised on how early it stopped compare to my previous balls (vice tour and titty NXT tour soft) but after that I adjusted for it, i could play a little more aggressively around the greens within 50m.
After 1 round of bashing around a few trees the skin condition is not too shabby either.
    Kinda liking it right now.

    Took the kirkland out yesterday.
Off the tee they still feel good, but I realised the shorter irons shot I had the previous week was not just because of different clubs. I went for a gapping session on Monday and was surprised the clubs were mostly short (particularly for my 8-PW) where they were 5-10m shorter than what I have recorded on my S60.
Gapping for my 8-GW with height of the ball going to 29m average which seems pretty high for me.
Also the spin rates between the Kirkland and the Vice Tour were both low 9000 off the Gap in full swing.

So after the first 9 holes, I decided to go back to the old NXT tour soft I have in my bag, and rightly I have noticed my balls were going further and not getting much roll off on the greens.
Beside Greenside chipping, I am not sure if they will stay in my bag.

At the moment, still have 6 sleeves of them... Probably will just use them for social games with my mates.

Have been using the Snell MTB-X (thanks Ferrins and The Nuclear One) for the last couple of months and no complaints. Its really durable, long and spins really well with good grab from partial wedges and some nice jizz back on full wedges.

last 2 rounds ive played with the bridgestone tour bx, srixon ,titleist prov1 and v.
    ahhhhhhhhh
really.... i cant really tell any difference except maybe on putts , putts the BS seem to feel better . off the driver and irons , no way i cant tell.
i think it might be bec. like the look of the BS balls they have really funky dimple pattern now.
i dont give a toss which one of them i play, they are all good.
but i know if i have the choice to pick a sleeve prior to teeing of the pro shop prior to a comp , id always take the B/S , 100%
honestly i cant say why tho.

with all that considered it comes down to price, thanks to Dunlop's super mass production, Srixon balls are the cheapest. the XV are as good as any premium ball, if you want something softer then I do recommend the Bridgestone over the standard Z Star. The current BS model X ball is really nice (white and black box), but I have about 7 dozen XV's left so that will be my ball for 2020

Hopefully GCO gets a hold of the 2020 model for next year

Yeah, it's hard to go past the Srixon balls for the price. I also find them to be very durable compared to some other balls (TP5x for example). I've just ordered another 2 doxen yellow Z Star XVs from golfbox.

They do spin but you have to really go after your wedge shots to get it, then it delivers in spades

Really enjoying some tp5x I bought on special at the moment - great feel and performance through the bag - but the durability is rubbish. Going to stick with my z star xv.

Been impressed with the vice Pro+ the last few rounds. Good performance, haven't had any durability issues and cheap.

Pro V1 has been great after switching from the X a couple of months back. Flirted with the Bridgestone tour s I think (blue box) to soft off putter face for me to make the switch
If it aint for sale the right price has just not been offered

Iā€™m a fan of the TP5/ x. I reckon I hit them 10 metres further than other balls....

    spin enough, and feel good.

I like the one that flies straight and goes in the hole

Still using the supersoft balls. They're going well, nice to hit and usually travel pretty straight, just sometimes straight in the wrong direction šŸ˜‚ I find I have pretty good control around the greens with them too.
