Played at Macquarie Links for the first time and to be honest I did not think it was that tough a track, I just played badly. I had 29 points with 5 wipes. Could have been better could have been worse. Oh well no more golf till next week.

Played a social round with workmates at RAE as I arrived too late for the comp. Teed up an old faithful "Rocket" and shanked it straight into a clump of trees left of the green (1st hole is a 130m par3).
Playing partner and I are searching for the ball when he says "Got it, is your ball a Titleist Pro v1x ?"
    Me "Yes, yes it is."

Mental note: If I ever find a Spalding Rocket on a course, I'll know who hit it last.

NOBODY (else) plays a Rocket these days.

No golf for me. Missed out on both comp and first week of pennant. Dislocated toe turns out not to be dislocated after all but broken. The fracture goes right up from the base of the toe to the knuckle. No wonder it hurt playing 18 holes on it!!!!!!!!!!
So do I get more sympathy now. ( and yes AP - I am keeping off it now!!)

Ouch! Tell us again how you broke it, I can't recall.

What sort of recovery period are you looking at?

Walked into the door while watching the golf on tv. 6 to 12 weeks recovery - and keep off it as much as possible. Not happy.

I played in atrocious wet weather this morning. It was preferred lies, but most of the time the casual water rule meant the ball was taken halfway across the fairway before being played.
I couldn't get anything going and limped to 28 pts.

I can almost match Courty's wet weather story, but only for the last four holes of the round.

Hacked it around for the first 11 holes, but two lucky birdies kept my score Ok, then I found the swing secret and played three great holes. Then a major, major rainstorm hit. I was happy to quit the round, even though I was 2 under h'cap, but one of the others wanted to play on, so we did. 3-putted the next through casual water on a virtually unplayable green, and dropped shots on the last two, for a total of 36 points.

No point in listing the stats, as the last four holes were almost unplayable, but I got three birdies, which was good.

Final of the Salty's Cup match play today. Twas an ugly start and I was 3 down by 8, with nothing working for me. Abandonned the driver and started to play alright after that and ended up winning 2 up after he put his 3rd in the water on 18. Nothing really to note, although my iron play is getting better, a couple of 6 irons into greens were nice.

Haha no burner. Yes I am pumped, particularly after coming back form 3 down. I am also totally stuffed. I have no idea if I win anything more than bragging rights though, maybe a shirt.

I don't know if it is an honour board event. Might be.
