Default Choppa V SteveRawlo pre-matchplay sledge session

Ok folks, in the spirit of taking this matchplay competition seriously, I am ponding interest in a Chop V Steve pre-matchplay pissfest. I was thinking a few quiet ales in a respectable city drinking establishment on a Friday afternoon/evening.

I figure if I have to give Steve 6 shots, the least I can do is make them Flaming Sambucca's

It won't be for quite a few weeks yet, but would there be any interest in this?

P.S. Steve, you have to come mate.

dc has kindly booked a cart for us following this evening's festivities, so I'm thinking I will skip the beers, and have a few quiet rums instead!

Surely there's something in the rules against the defending champ being in a cart.

Them rules are to ensure there is no unfair advantage. Well I am taking care of that on Friday night

Soooooooooooooo what's happening? As the organiser of this shindig, you should have a definite venue sorted out by now, Chop.

BTW, somewhere with a big screen would be ideal - Broncs vs Titans live on TV at 7.30.

The Vic is central, has a big screen, great beer garden, pool tables and from memory, a cheap happy hour on Friday arvos. That's got my vote but I am pretty easily pleased.

PS - I just read the first post again. "Respectable drinking establishment" is what your after eh? Maybe not The Vic then......

Was it the Vic where you got into a punchup choppa? Maybe somewhere else then? (Although, didn't you get a free T-shirt out of it???)

I've had a couple of those in town so we probably shouldn't limit our venture to places I haven't shed blood.

How about across the road and down a bit at the Embassy. It's not a bad spot now. Pool tables as well.

I will be starting at around 4 because I know Andy and Vegas want to get on it ASAP.
So I guess people can just roll up any time after that and we will be there. Albeit in varying degrees of intoxication.

Geez look at all the people piking out. Eags not drinking......we will have to fix that silly attitude. Poidda in limbo......wtf

Andy, I think think the boys all want to get hands on a McLeod Cup, and are not wanting to lose the edge by have a quiet beer the night before

    speaking of piking.....

I can't make 4pm now. I have to head out and collect Meghan from daycare straight after work and then come back in for a (wife's) work function at Vic Park. Should be done by 7-ish. If you boys are still at it, I'll come along then.

I'm not sure what beers they have there, but I've never been a big fan of their selection on tap.

Take your time Steve, we won't be going anywhere.

As for your beer, I'll have a nice Scotch and Soda waiting for you.
