Default New products - WARNING: Lots of pics!

Some more new stuff on the way...

New TM Driver. Apparently the Black version is a limited release which will cost an arm & a leg but there will be a regular chrome soled one following which will be a bit more reasonable. There is also talk of a TM geometry based driver being developed (R9) which will not be square, but will be different to their usual shape.

New ProV1 balls. They will have a seamless cover and are said to be whiter than the previous models. They are apparently already in play on the PGA tour and will be released for regular consumption in March next year.

Good to see Titleist are going to mark a line on the balls from now on .... most players do it with a pen anyway, but it makes sense to have it done at the time of production.

Don't know what to make of that TM driver though

Great idea to put the line on the ball, and the line isn't so big that those that don't use it, get put off by it.
The difference in colour isn't too obvious.

Ignore Ducky, he's on a one sentence posting spree.

What was the problem with the current double-ended arrow? That's not enough of a mark to line up a putt?!

does he get called duckhead or duckwit over there too ??

I appreciate it Courty, I don't spend much time at other forums these days. My supplier sent me the driver pics today, they were initially told the release was only 500, but then it changed to 3,000. Still, might be worth getting one, just to assure myself it's the same as every other piece of TaylorMade CRAP !!!

Any idea of what sort of price they might be? As long as it doesn't cost me a limb, I may be interested.

I'm sorry, Courty, I couldn't help myself. By the way, they were mentioned here.

Anyway, looks like the standard offering from TaylorMade (i.e. rehashed existing products).

probably depends on what you value your limbs at

Retail is $800USD, hopefully between $700 and $750 but if they are limited release it might be tough to squeeze. I guess the obvious step is to wait until the chrome TP and regular versions appear in the New Year.

That's ridiculous. I don't like them that much. I guess now I'll just have to figure out how to give my 510TP the Black finish.

Now that's cool!! I was wondering how long it would be before someone unbolted the Detour appendage and stuck it on another putter. Come to think of it, the Detour sans back bit would be a nice blade putter in it's own right (after adding some lead tape).
