One of my favourite music videos & possibly one of the cheapest ever made.

Firstly, I'm a hack compared to that guy. Secondly, that was as boring as bat shit. I saw some bands on friday night all playing double pedals and all with the finesse of a wrecking ball going through a caravan.

Donati, playing doubles with accents and soloing over the top - that floors me.

I also play heel down so I have no hope of replicating those speeds. Can't play heel up to save my life!

I agree that Virgil kills those dudes ... but man, you have to be impressed by the speed that guy generates

The speed is impressive! But it's boring. I learnt that when I saw Vinnie Colaiuta with Bill Evans. Support fusion band came out and played every note they could as fast as they could. Bill and his band came out and played really open, spacious jazz fusion and killed them.

Heard about that last night. He opened the doors and pee'ed down the shaft. He pressed the emergency button but no one came. And he sued and apparently got paid a large undisclosed amount!
