forget the close date then. while we are at it why don't we let people enter after they lose their 1st round match. We will get 32 that way

In previous years, people have entered AFTER the draw was done. As long as the person who has the first round bye doesn't mind, I think he/she should be able to join in.

Draw done, currently being made into spreadsheet format and will be posted to the first post of this thread. Some interesting 1st round Match-ups, 2 first round byes/open listed. If anyone else wants to play let us know, 2 spots open.

Stage is set for Jim vs Andrew final again ...

Looks like Amanda might get through to the second round this year ... or at least if Brad knows what's good for him.

TS vs Fishman should be interesting. Gay fade vs even gayer fade ...

Should we set dates for games to be organised by?
    I thought
1st round by end of March
    1/4 Finals by May/June
    Semis by August/September
    Final by End of October

How does that sound? Not strict but will be good to keep the series flowing.

As the person who drew the pieces of paper out of the plastic bag, I take full blame for anyone unhappy with their draw.

Brad should consider himself the unluckiest (or luckiest). With two pieces of paper left, his name was still undrawn, with spaces against Amanda and myself vacant. He has been outscoring me easily lately, but his name came out next, and I got the second 'open' piece of paper.

Personally, I'd prefer to play than have a bye, so I'm happy if a latecomer arrives and want to play me.

I forgot to add, Please contact your drawn competitor to arrange a game. We may organise a NSW Ozgolf day to run the 1st round matches for those that can play. Hopefully 1st round matches will be played by the end of March.

Could those of you who can't play their games weekends pls arrange a good time for both of you to play at a convienient time for each other. Time limits will be relaxed (with a little bit of a date limit)so as to get matches played and no walkovers this year.

I cant do Sat's unless we kick off at about 7am, due to a course running on Sat's from 10/2 to 31/3 or 7/4 which start at 2pm

I thought it was discussed that we'd give every chance for the final 2 spots to be filled, perhaps waiting as late as March. We didn't even make it to Feb?!

    Who/what/where am i playing?

The wife and I MAY take the final two spots -however we leave for Japan for about a month of skiing on Friday. So there is a strong chance of broken bones.

I have read the last couple of pages and it seemed we were heading for one big day? now it seems we are back to organising one off matches?

If its a big day out we are in -if its setting up a game here or there then we are out.

We are trying for one day but the dates suggested were not responded too well from a few. It is very hard to organise a big day here in NSW for some reason.

The slots are still open but the draw has been made, that is all. If anyone wants to join in they can. The order of the draws for the byes was McCoy first then Jim so they will be allocated an opponent if they get one in that order.

For yourself Dan you have drawn TS. The full draw is on the 1st post.

Tony - i'm good for a game mid-March. Lock it in Eddy. You decide the venue, I don't mind where we play - including Long Reef.
