If only if was that simple. Major complications from Surgery for large hiatus hernia | healthdirect have had me busted for a few months now. Still hurts to breath and eat, but need to do them.

First round of a 5 day golf junket (albeit at home)
18/17 35pts off 7, with birdies on 5 and 8.
RQ tomorrow, but then 3 days of bent grass ahould see my putting stats (and stableford points) plummet.

That was the best I've ever seen you handle bent greens, maybe you're maturing?
Same junket as Benno, RQ on Thursday then 3 days down in Tassie.
77 of the bat for 35 points at RQ Thursday in very tough conditions / pin placements.
A quick 9 hole social round at Llanherne, 1 over par there. (Thoroughly enjoyable course, would recommend).
Some shonky, tired swings around Royal Hobart on the Friday, wiped the piss easy par 5 9th for 83 off the bat, 28 points. RH is a tough, tough track.
Onto Claremont on Saturday morning with some delightful bay views and smell of the Cadbury factory next door. What a place. I really enjoyed the track, but how 35 people aren't killed there each year is absolutely beyond me. On at least 12 of the 18 holes it feels like you could be killed form a ball coming in ANY general direction. A "footy boys" ambrose style day would easily see 6 killed and 28 injured. Anyway, 71 off the bat for 36 points. Would also recommend, but bring a cricket helmet.
Drove out to Elderslie for a quick 9 and played skins with Benno's and Rons clubs. It's completely irrelevant that Benno won 7 skins, mostly with bogeys, I got a skin before Ron did, that's the salient point. Really nice track for complete volunteer labour. Quirk factor on the holes is HIGH.
Finished with 18 holes at Pittwater on Sunday, 76 off the bat for 33 points. Really pissed away some shots on 7, 8 and 9 both times around, could've been another nice score. It was a real shame we had 20mm of rain overnight as it just slowed the entire course down A LOT, but I'd go back there in a heartbeat. A little quirk, some great holes especially off the alternate tees (it's a 9-holer with 2 sets of tees from most holes, 7 of them I think?). Possibly one of the simplest but best green complexes I've ever come across on the 7th. Another recommended track, especially for only one paid greenkeeper.
Claremont could be a great 9/12 hole track, with the apartments there now, its way too small for 18 holes. There is some great holes out the back along the derwent.
Llahnerne should be an example of what a good suburban 9 holer could/should be, simple but interesting design, playable for all. It does have one of the straightest par 5s ever.
I'm surprised you found RH tough, theres a couple of long 4's that sneak up and I reckon not taking driver on a bunch of holes takes out some trouble. It is bunkered pretty well and hitting fairway bunkers usually means layup.
Pittwater really is just held back by soil, any rain makes is soggy, but usually means it plays longer than it is.
Really need to head to Elderslie, has had heaps of raps on it.
It'd be a shame to do that to Claremont because in isolation the only truly bad hole on the course is 12, with a notable "yikes" to the green on 10. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was literally just the imminent sense of danger all day from the second green onwards.
That green complex on the par 5 is really nice, everything funnelling in, but long enough you have to get your club selection correct and still enough movement that no putt was easy.
It more played tough than found it tough (I've played it previously). The Club Champs second round was on the Saturday, so the tees were back, the greens were firm and fast, pins tucked, the cooler late arvo / evening air made everything half a club longer, and the wind got up and swirled around through the pines. And it didn't help that we lipped out / burnt about 35 lips between us.
Pittwater just need to drop the blades on the surrounds mower half an inch, it's SO thick to Texas Wedge through. Apart from that, very nice track.
I certainly wouldn't be in a massive rush to get out there given the other gem 9-holers you guys seemed to have produced, but it's a nice track just to stroll around with the clubs and a beer or 6.
