Yep I did, I just checked the map and noticed Darwin GC is just a d*ck hair further north. I always thought it was the other way round...

Considering that the runway is east west direction, Darwin GC is on the north boundary, and Raaf course at the south/west end corner of runway, ummm, were you any good in the boy scouts?

The original post also mentioned the three most northern courses.

Got down to Dover on the weekend to play the southernmost course in Australia.

Plays on sloping ground just south of the town. Grass has a lot of moss through it, but played ok and the greens ran quicker that I thought they would.
Hard start with a 375m par 4 that starts with an up hill drive and the green then sits on the other side of the hill where you can't see the sloping front to back green until about 100 out.
Its got 2 greens that sit right on the entrance driveway, with the 7th playing a long the road. 6th was an all or nothing short/mid length 4 where you either hit no more than 5iron or you had to hit driver due to the pond.
And 8 is a 208m long drop par 3 that plays blind from the tee and wouldn't be the easiest to bouce on to the green due to the grassed drainage creeks infront of it.

Flinders at the Vic Champs might be the southernmost for some people; it will be for me on the mainland.

I don't think it is for me as I played Leongatha Golf Club about 25 years ago.

We'll have to include Apollo Bay for the next iteration of the Bellarine Champs.

Peterborough and Apollo Bay would be a fun couple of tracks to add to the rota. Especially in 50k winds

Apollo Bay is very average. Not worth a special trip. Go to Anglesea instead.

Remember Angelsea being pretty cool, lots of rolling terrain. Huge amount of roos who could not give a shit if you were hitting a shot right next to them.

1000% agreed, but you're missing the point of the exercise.

My comment was in reference to Wbennett's post, not so much yours.

I only saw it from the fish and chip shop, so can't comment on the quality. It has to be better than Lorne though

So I shouldnt bother taking my bats to a conference in Lorne?

Criticism doesn't bother me, as it means I am doing something and people are watching.
