    Default Canadian visting Sydney end of month - looking for a game!

    Hi All! Great forum you've got here - reminds me of one we have back home in Toronto Canada I'm 38 y/o with an 8 cap.

    I'm heading to Sydney for work for a few weeks - looking like Friday April 26 and Friday May 3rd are both open dates for me to get a round in.

    Any suggestions on where to play? I reached out to NSW via my pro, but at 675 + club rentals I'm not sure I'm biting that bullet!!

    Much appreciated for any advice!

    Presume you are staying in the city or surrounds, if not I can probably help with where you are located. Getting around Sydney is a pain in the ass due to the traffic, also bear in mind Friday 26th could be a busy day on courses, we have a public holiday on the 25th and a lot of people will take the following day off.

    If you are in the city Moore Park is very close and is a public course as is Eastlakes. If you don't want to pay the NSW price and want a better private experience, perhaps reach out to either The Lakes or Bonnie Doon, both are located about a $20-$30 cab fare from the city.

    You may have recips with Toronto GC on Lake Macquarie.

    p.s. And be prepared to be underwhelmed, like any curious Welsh visitors, who turned off the freeway, when they saw a sign to Cardiff (west of Newcastle).

    If he was a member of Toronto GC, he’d have no issues with NSW wanting $675.
