There's a long thread here: https://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.ph...-Monitor/page7
My take is the last post there - if indoor, get a camera-based system.
I'm interested in this topic as well. I will soon be getting rid of my swimming pool and turfing most of the area. Among other uses I plan to get a practice net as the area is plenty large enough, but I'd like something to tell me what the ball is actually doing in order to get more out of practice sessions.
Done this.
Buy a decent Mat,Build a frame out of Gal Pipe.
Use patio shade cloth to cover it and then towels you stole from Gym, Hotels, planes to protect the hitting spot. (keeps it quieter for the neighbors)
Skytrak if you have cash to burn - the new one is excellent.
But a basic BLAST GOLF or Skypro device or similar is just as good. About $200 worth.
We have track man @ the golf club and have used both Blast golf and SkyPro - very very accurate devices.
Also very good way to sort out your 120m in game.
Mat, get a good Mat.....
Been there, done that.
See the last two pages of ... https://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.ph...light=backyard
p.s. Ended up removing the hitting deck/net and selling the house with the putting deck in situ (which looked like a kids play area amongst garden/turf in the photos).
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.
I've got a backyard outdoor setup consisting of a Haverford 3x3m practice cage, Tee up 1.5x1.5m practice mat from The Net Return and a Garmin R10. Really happy with this combo. Thought about the MLM2pro but still seems to be so many issues with the software so went R10 and don't regret it at all.

Are those cages able to be taken down when not in use? I ask because I don't really want something permanently there, but also I'm planning on just hitting off the turf. The area is big enough to be able to move the net around different sections for divot repair etc.
The Net Return is pretty good for portability (can be moved while assembled, and packs down into a carry bag) - but it's fairly expensive.

I've also seem some knock off Net Return style products which you could look into as I agree with BYU it's very expensive for what it is IMO.

When I was looking there were two models that I liked that were portable.
The Spornia and the Rukket and I ended up with the latter, which from memory was a price decision.
This would be worth checking out.

Thanks guys, given me some ideas to look at. It'll be a little while before I get anything anyway, gotta piss off the pool and redo that area first.
Will rust out too if not undercover
I use a GC2 running GS Pro. Decent mat (been planning to do those strike/divot mats for ages) and just goes onto a TV since it's outdoors.
If I had the space it'd definitely go inside with a projector.
I have the Stonehaven big al net which is currently $199 on sale on golfbox.com.au with a garmin r10. I have artificial grass so no mat required. Pretty solid set-up for under$1000. Garmin has all the numbers and while it's not a trackman it's plenty accurate.
Happiness is a long walk with a putter.
My mate builds these setups, if you got >USD100k to spend
